Huawei Banned By Google and Google Stopped Collaboration with Huawei

The US government has passed an executive order according to which Google, Intel, Qualcomm, Microsoft or any other US company will not continue business with Huawei. According to this order, the customer of Huawei and Honour will not receive any Google updates on their phones. Last week US President has passed an executive order and stopped all business deals with Huawei. Tthis was not the only issue that has faced by Huawei in recent time. Also many countries stopped Huawei from taking part in their 5G experiment. Huawei Banned By Google that is a bad news for the Huawei users.

About Huawei

Huawei is the second largest Smartphone country in the world and operates in more than 170 countries and regions. The Huawei is a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and consumer electronics manufacturers. The company does not only produces smartphones, but they also produce laptops and have its own processor for smartphones.

Why Huawei Banned By Google

Huawei is one of the biggest company of Telecom equipment and 2nd largest Smartphone company in the World. Because of some National security issues last week the US stopped their company to carry on any type of business with Huawei. This was not the first time, Because of the same security reasons, Huawei was also stopped from taking part in 5G experiment from many other countries in the past. After the ban from US government, Google canceled all their Android and other services for Huawei smartphones. Also keeping Huawei users in mind last Tuesday US government decided to give 90 days to Huawei. In this period they will continue their services for old Huawei costumers but during this period of time, Huawei has not permitted to produce any new product and sell.

Google on Honour Smartphones

Since Honour has associated with Huawei, there is a possibility that Honour will be banned too and will stop receiving Google and Android facilities on their Smartphones. There is also possibility that keeping business policy in mind Google may continue business with Honour. In this case there will be no risk on Honour smartphones. Last Tuesday Huawei launched new Android based smartphone with Honour popularly known as Honour-20 series. Google also has made an statement that they will continue providing software updates to the current devices of Huawei.

Microsoft on Huawei

After Google taking tough decision against Huawei, another biggest US technology company Microsoft remove Huawei ‘Macbook X Pro’ from their online and offline Store. Till now Microsoft has not stop there Windows Services and had made no statement on that.

After US banned Huawei, Japan’s biggest telecom company NT Docomo also released a statement that they are discussing about the situation and may also ban Huawei.

Will it Effect other Chinese smartphone companies ?

Till now Huawei is only Chinese smartphone company to be banned by US government. Government has not passed any orders against other Chinese smartphone companies, but if this trade war continues between China and US and US government ban other Chinese telecom companies too, then the Chinese smartphone or Tablet that uses Google or Android has to face a big problem.

If You are a Huawei or Honour user then ?

Google has made a statement after a new decision from the US government that Google will keep providing the basic facilities for Huawei smartphone users but Gmail, Google Map, YouTube, and some facilities will not be provided. According to the last decision, Google will not provide Hardware transfer, Software, and Technical services to Huawei. And will also not provide any updates from Google or Android. Overall, according to current situation buying Huawei smartphones or tablets will not be a great deal. On the current situation, Huawei has cleared that they will keep providing security updates to all current Huawei customers.

Huawei Charged $10.5 Million for using PanOptics Patent

In 2018 PanOptics claimed that Huawei used there patent in their devices including Nexus 6P, Mate 9 and Mate P8 lite, without paying the licensing fee for which Huawei paid $10.5 Million to PanOptics for the violation.

Cisco took legal action against Huawei

In 2003, a US based company Cisco filed a lawsuit against a Chinese network equipment maker Huawei Technologies and Its subsidiaries , claiming that Huawei copied there intellectual property unlawfully.
Cisco filed case in US District Court claiming that Huawei unlawfully copied Cisco’s IOS software, including source code, copyrighted material and infringing on at least five Cisco Patents.

T-Mobile torture test Robot goes Missing

T-Mobile torture test robot known as Tappy had created by T-Mobile test engineer David jenkinson in 2007. Only people were allowed to meet Tappy, who signed confidentiality agreements saying they will not take any photos or videos or try to reverse engineer the robot. Huawei made a deal with T-Mobile for selling their devices in US. And some of their engineers where allowed into Tappy’s lab to test Huawei phone in 2012. After seeing potential in Tappy, the Huawei tried to create its own version. This is called XDeviceRobot for which a pair of Huawei engineers were dispatched to get all the information related to Tappy.

One of them even stole Tappy from the lab on his laptop bag but returned it on next day. And claiming that he carried Tappy in his laptop bag by mistake. While the arm was missing and was claimed that the engineer allegedly send measurements and photos back to china. For which T-Mobile tool legal action and won case against Huawei in 2017 and was awarded with $4.8 Million.

Conclusion

According to the US government decision, the Huawei Banned By Google from updating any software or application.
